Location and distances

The rural houses are located on the residential area of Riumar which runs alongside the beach of the same name. The beach, which overlooks the sea, is located on the left side of the Ebro river mouth, i.e. to the North end of the river, in front of the Sant Jordi Gulf, at the tip of the Ebro Delta, Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve. The houses are located very close to the beach, which can be reached on foot. The jetty is located just half a mile from the river mouth, within less than 3 minutes’ drive from most of the houses. The closest urban centre is Deltebre, 10 km away. We have houses with or without swimming pool, of 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms in a rural setting. All of them are very well equipped.

The residential area of Riumar, surrounded by beaches, the river and rice fields, is the ideal location to enjoy a perfect holiday. It is ideal for families, as its urban layout, consisting mainly of one-storey houses, ensures that there is no overcrowding, even in mid-August.

In the residential area there is a small shopping centre, consisting of a supermarket, bakery, tobacconist’s, an excellent fishing tackle shop, a café to have breakfast in, and restaurants offering a wide food range: typical dishes of the Ebro Delta, authentic German cuisine and a pizzeria with a stone oven. In the residential area there is also a barbecue restaurant, along with other typical dishes of the Ebro Delta and a buffet restaurant. Moreover, on the Promenade there are also more restaurants and chiringuitos, i.e. the local beach bars (which are also open at night for you to have a drink)

Riumar beach, in front of the residential area, is almost 5 km long, and meets up with the beach of Bassa de la Arena and the Marquesa beach. Altogether, there are 30 km of beaches to enjoy. Riumar beach is awarded each year the Blue Flag for quality beaches, granted by the European Union. Riumar beach is ideal for small children as it is made of fine sand, very flat and also with very shallow water. The climate is predominantly Mediterranean, with warm summers and plenty of sun, and very mild winters, with little rainfall.
